Pelister National Park, in cooperation with the team of the Association for Education and Integration “EDU-AKTIV PLUS”, realized environmental education in Pelister for students from the 9th grade at “Gjorgi Sugarev” OOU from Bitola, as well as for students and parents from the Support Center of children with disabilities.

The main objective of the activity was to encourage environmental awareness, teamwork, and inclusion through various activities in nature. Students participated in interactive tasks including trail cleaning, identification of local flora and fauna, an eco-chase, and an orientation walk.

Students actively discussed climate change and received practical advice on environmental protection. This activity significantly contributed to strengthening the ecoculture among students and improving their understanding of the importance of protecting natural resources.

This form of learning in nature has shown that learning can be not only fun, but also very meaningful for all participants.

We express our gratitude to the Association for Education and Integration “EDU-AKTIV PLUS” team for the excellent cooperation. Their dedication and professionalism contributed significantly to the successful implementation of environmental education at Pelister. With joint efforts, we encouraged environmental awareness and inclusion among students, which is of great importance for our nature. Thank you for all the wonderful moments and shared knowledge!

Forests in protected areas are declared by the Nature Protection Act. Forest protection is one of the main segments for a healthy environment. The sector of protection of natural resources in the national park-Pellister in the autumn period cleans the forest roads with the aim of preventive action to protect the forests from forest fires. The forest roads are cleaned for a length of several kilometers, this action is of great importance for preventive action in the event of a forest fire, and what is very important, with a relatively small effort carried out by the employees of the technical department in the national park, a more effective intervention of PP teams is possible.
