Meeting of the Director of NP Pelsiter and Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Ane Lashkoska

Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Anne Lashkoska, together with the Director of the Environmental Administration, Igor Nikoski, held a working meeting with the Director of the Public Institution National Park “Pelister” Ivancho Toshevski. Some employees from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and the Public Institution Pelister also attended.
The meeting discussed the activities being carried out to address the challenges and how to manage the oldest National Park in the country.
Lashkoska emphasized that the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning is always open to cooperation in protecting the natural values ​​of all natural areas, including Pelister. The interlocutors also agreed that the preservation of its biological diversity, sustainable management, and the development of sustainable tourism in the Pelister National Park are of great importance.

   

Ecology and environmental awareness starts with the younger generations

Pelister National Park continues with environmental education and raising public awareness among students about nature protection, developing positive ecological practices and behavior in nature. Following the program for environmental education and raising awareness among the youngest categories of citizens about the significance and value of the park, at today’s meeting with the principals of primary and secondary schools, we agreed on future cooperation and have already defined future activities with students that will be implemented during 2025.

A meeting was held today at the Pelister Info Center between the Pelister Mountaineering Association, the Macedonian Mountaineering Federation – President Zoran Cetkushev, Deputy President Petar Nolev, President of the Commission for Marking Mountain Trails Simo Simonovski, President of the Commission for Mountaineering Lodges Aleksandar Sanev, President of the Commission for Mountaineering Guides Danielo Bozinovski, PSK 7mi Maj, Department for Economic Development of the Municipality of Bitola, SFERA International – Milcho Duli, Vladimir Zoglev, and the directions for future mutual cooperation in the direction and development of mountaineering and tourism within the Pelister National Park were defined.
