The latest data were published in the period 2004-2016, listing the species: <strong>European copper skink<\/strong> (<em>Ablepharus kitaibelii), <\/em><strong>Sand lizard<\/strong>\u00a0 (<em>Lacerta agilis),\u00a0 <\/em><strong>Balkan green lizard <\/strong>(<em>Lacerta trilineata<\/em>)<em>, <\/em><strong>European green lizard<\/strong> <em>(Lacerta viridis) <\/em>and <strong>Common European adder<\/strong><em> or <\/em><strong>C<\/strong><b>ommon European viper<\/b><em> (Vipera berus).\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tlid-results-container results-container\">\n<div class=\"tlid-result result-dict-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"result tlid-copy-target\">\n<div class=\"text-wrap tlid-copy-target\">\n<div class=\"result-shield-container tlid-copy-target\" tabindex=\"0\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-748\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/66-sarka-2-300x210.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/66-sarka-2-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/66-sarka-2.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-745\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Poskok-1-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Poskok-1-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Poskok-1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sterijovski et al. (2014) confirm all data published so far and list six new species of reptiles within the Park: <strong>Blind worm<\/strong>\u00a0 (<i>Anguis<\/i> \u00a0<em>fragilis)<\/em>, <strong>Smooth snake\u00a0<\/strong><em>(C<\/em><span class=\"tlid-translation translation\" lang=\"en\"><em>oronella austriaca)<\/em>,<strong> Grass snake<\/strong> (<em>Natrix natrix<\/em>),\u00a0 <b>Dice snake<\/b>\u00a0<em>(Natrix tessellata),<\/em> and\u00a0 <b>Common wall lizard<\/b>\u00a0 <em>(Podarcis muralis),<\/em> \u00a0<strong>Aesculapian snake<\/strong> <em>(Zamenis longissimus).<\/em> The report on &#8220;Strengthening the Capacities for the Implementation of Natura 2000 in Macedonia&#8221; (2016) also states the species\u00a0 <strong>Hermann&#8217;s tortoise\u00a0<\/strong>(<em>Testudo hermanni).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-749\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Planinski-smok-Smooth-snake-Coronella-austriaca-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Planinski-smok-Smooth-snake-Coronella-austriaca-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Planinski-smok-Smooth-snake-Coronella-austriaca.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-750\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/48-zelka-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/48-zelka-2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/48-zelka-2.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Out of a total of<strong> 32 species of reptiles<\/strong> in the Republic of Northern Macedonia (Sterijovski et al. 2014), according to published literature and field research conducted in 2019 in <strong>NP Pelister, the presence of 16 species or 50% of the national diversity<\/strong> of this class has been confirmed. From the literary data as well as from the research conducted in 2019, a database for 15 species of reptiles was compiled for NP Pelister.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-747\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/52-planinaska-gusterica-1-300x212.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/52-planinaska-gusterica-1-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/52-planinaska-gusterica-1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-751\" src=\"http:\/\/pelister.development.ivote.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Goran-Kuzmanovski-copy-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Goran-Kuzmanovski-copy-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/park-pelister.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Goran-Kuzmanovski-copy.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 16th species is the <strong>Balkan wall lizard<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>(Podarcis tauricus),<\/em> according to Micevski (2004).
