Strezhevo Bitola<\/li>\n<li>Blvd. 1-vi Maj 77 \u2013 Bitola<\/li>\n<li>+389 47 207-800<\/li>\n<li>+389 47 207-816<\/li>\n<li>fax .: +389 47 207-836<\/li>\n<li>e-mail: strezevo@t.mk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ni\u017eepole\u00a0(Macedonian:\u00a0\u041d\u0438\u0436\u0435\u043f\u043e\u043b\u0435,\u00a0Aromanian:\u00a0Nijopolea,\u00a0Albanian:\u00a0Xhinxhopol\u00eb) is a\u00a0village\u00a0in the\u00a0municipality\u00a0of\u00a0Bitola,\u00a0North Macedonia\u00a0and is an alpine settlement 7.85 kilometers from\u00a0Bitola.<\/p>\n<p>History[edit]<\/p>\n<p>The population of Ni\u017eepole was made up of older inhabitants of\u00a0Aromanians\u00a0(Vlachs) and later Arvanito-Vlachs who formed a large part of the village population.[1]\u00a0A small number of Muslim Albanians over time settled in Ni\u017eepole originating from the\u00a0Kor\u00e7\u00eb\u00a0region.[1]\u00a0During the first World War, Ni\u017eepole fell on the Allied side of the\u00a0Macedonian front\u00a0and its Aromanian villagers first fled to\u00a0Florina\u00a0and then most went to\u00a0Katerini, Greece.[1]\u00a0After the war, most Ni\u017eepole Aromanians preferred to remain in Katerini after a few returnees came back telling of the destruction of the village.[1]\u00a0Only in 1923 with the\u00a0Population exchange between Greece and Turkey\u00a0and arrival of\u00a0Greek refugees\u00a0after the\u00a0Greco-Turkish War (1919\u20131922)\u00a0did some Ni\u017eepole inhabitants return to the village.[1]<\/p>\n<p>Demographics[edit]<\/p>\n<p>Ni\u017eepole, Greek language primary school and Orthodox church, early 20th century<\/p>\n<p>In statistics gathered by\u00a0Vasil Kanchov\u00a0in 1900, the village of Ni\u017eepole was inhabited by 1590 Aromanians, 250 Orthodox Albanians and 190 Orthodox Bulgarians.[2]\u00a0According to the statistics of Geographers Dimitri Mishev and D. M.
